I could not believe my luck when I had a call from my Mum asking if I would like 2 tickets for the opening

ceremony of the Olympics in London.

My dear departed Dad organised a lottery syndicate and the lottery had a draw for the tickets. My Dads syndicate

was drawn and they all decided it would be nice for his memory to donate them to his family. I was over the moon.

It was a spectacular day and incredibly well organised. Truly emotional and memorable.

I was also lucky enough to have been drawn to have 4 equestrian tickets too for the cross country event

in Greenwich. We decided to do it in style and went by boat from the London Eye capturing all the local London

sights on the way. The weather was glorious and our team GB were amazing to win their medal.
